29.07.2025 12:56 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0This is great! Watch it, then support the next one.
28.07.2025 16:24 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Theyβre emailing out the decisions. Relief for applicants, one way or the other. Iβm stunned to say mine was successful: oh my. Iβll have to do it now.
28.07.2025 16:04 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Ali is correct. I got all excited that the site appeared to be up, and did exactly what the email said not to.
28.07.2025 08:08 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Grantium latest. It's back up. But it seems to have lost (all? just my?) login details. So I click on "reset password" and get this.
If you ask me a confirmation question, I'll answer it...
Currently glued to the #lakeland100 tracker. One of my clubmates is on pace for the womenβsβ course record, another good friend is chasing the cut-offs, and between them will be found the cause of my imminent death from heart failure.
26.07.2025 11:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My pinned post is out of date again.
26.07.2025 10:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs not aimed at me.
26.07.2025 10:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0From now on Iβm only answering βwhere do you get your ideas fromβ when itβs expressed in this way.
26.07.2025 10:30 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0An email from the theatre I attended last night, seeking to understand my motives for coming and how I heard about the play. I wrote it.
26.07.2025 10:26 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0It was already down from at least the night before. First website ever to go down in anticipation of high traffic. Even my shonky old site can handle 2000 hits.
25.07.2025 16:30 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0On reflection I canβt believe the decisions are recorded nowhere but Grantium. Thereβs a spreadsheet somewhere. Anything else would be negligence verging on gross incompetence.
25.07.2025 16:28 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0For the avoidance of ambiguity or coyness: I am one of those waiting.
25.07.2025 16:17 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Applicants have now been told they'll hear (ideally) early next week. As far as I understand it, the decisions are themselves locked in Grantium. We've been saying since its introduction that Grantium is not fit for purpose; this seems to have finally persuaded ACE that this is so.
25.07.2025 16:11 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0About two thousand people await decisions on their DYCP applications, decisions due yesterday. Plenty more have scrambled to submit applications before their summer holiday, but find they can't. I don't envy those at Arts Council towers today.
25.07.2025 14:42 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0βI figured I might as well continue kicking that kid because after all loads of other people were.β
24.07.2025 15:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0βDelayed due to train crew being delayed by service delays.β
19.07.2025 12:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Not just me then. I think it could prove fairly popular!
19.07.2025 11:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It looks like a great project, and it's a lovely school. I hope it comes off - I'd love to see it.
19.07.2025 10:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And yesterday I went to this. I wrote the adaptation so you'll be wanting to give it a miss. dukeslancaster.org/whats-on/the...
19.07.2025 10:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0On Thursday, to celebrate her sixteenth birthday, I took my niece to see this. Anyone heard of it? It was decent! www.sunderland-theatre.co.uk/shows/sunder...
19.07.2025 10:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0On Wednesday I saw this, a play about Leeds United that's actually a play about dementia and which managed to do both of these things improbably well. www.leedsplayhouse.org.uk/event/throug...
19.07.2025 10:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This week I've been to the theatre more times than the rest of the year combined, unless you count occasions when I was the theatre. On this week's showing I'd recommend theatre, which seems to have plenty going for it.
19.07.2025 10:10 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0On Epstein, Donald Trump is not so much hiding in plain sight as loudly drawing attention to himself in plain sight.
19.07.2025 09:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The absolute gall of lecturing Diane Abbott about racism.
18.07.2025 11:23 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Absolutely. And Iβll certainly read the book. Tho presumably it never became better known publicly because, despite being a huge fish in a niche pond, in the grand scheme of things he was pretty obscure.
16.07.2025 05:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0For what itβs worth Iβve been in three different conversations about CG in the last month or so. They just havenβt happened in public. No-one *wants* to talk about him but he remains impossible to avoid.
