Bobby Hill's respected, he's nice, he still has his friend circle and connects with them...but he has confidence. He toned down the showmanship and mellowed out, but he still goes for broke on stuff. He can still do stuff with his dad...it's awesome. Hell, he and Connie are still friends! (5/???)

Bobby Hill was just sort of a dopey kid who bumbled around in life before stumbling onto something he could connect with his dad on: cooking food. And he still respects his family, comes to visit, connects when he can...but he runs a friggin' restaurant. He has Hank's work ethic. Badass. (4/???)

I didn't rewatch KotH before watching this, just a few Johnny2Cellos videos to refresh things. Hank is relatable, the friends are still nutty, and Peggy still reminds me of the bad parts of my mom.

The show is good. Very good. Felt like...coming home after a long time. Which, well, the show kinda did. Hank and Peggy made a nest egg in Saudi Arabia and get to comfortably retire in their hometown. Good on them. But...we get reminded of their relationships. Friends, rivals...son... (2/???)

A lot of shounen anime like to toy with the time skip like this.
On its face, it's literally just to reset the characters, get new watchers/readers on, and trickle in things that happened each gap.
Always a risk. But if Coby can go from nobody to nightmare in One Piece, Bobby Hill can carry a show.

Panel 1 Penelope is picking up Olivia from school. Olivia is excited to see her and show her mom how well she did on a test. Olivia: MAMA IS HERE! Mama! I got a 98 on the big test. Panel 2 Penelope: Sweetie, that's wonderful! I'm so proud of you. Olivia: And Gustopher got a perfect score! Gustopher is looking at his test results. He received a perfect score. If I was a really clever, I would have put some written something interesting on the papers. Unfortunately, I'm not smart enough to know what a test that has received a perfect score would look like so it's just scribbles. Panel 3 Penelope walks up to Gustopher to let him know that she's proud of the good job he has done. Penelope: Good job, Gustopher. I'm proud of you too. Panel 4 Gustopher will remember that. Gustopher smiles and holds his test results closely. He feels happy that he did so well today and it feels extra nice when a friend's parent confirms it. He can't wait to show his dad the test results.

I bought the game and KOF XV at a discount once and never even downloaded SF6. I was too afraid of getting my ass kicked. But then, after seeing your retrospective...I decided. I wanna get good.

I beat Luck be a Landlord tonight.
It's good stuff. I enjoyed the concept a lot and feel that there's plenty of room to expand on it. I did eventually get my cat run with lots of cat symbols, although I think it was a Geologist that carried me to victory. It's okay, I still love cats.

Game development really is "wow I just had this idea that seems awesome" and then you spend 3 hours trying to get it to work only to dial it back
