But Gabriel has both physical and emotional scars from his past. Can she break through his reinforced barriers? There is a lot of will, they won’t they, and hope springs eternal as he takes her out of Paris to his fixer-upper for a breath of fresh air in the country. She then returns home to Battersea but that is not the end of the story…..There is a nice sense of Paris in this short, peppy romcom. This is a very thoughtful review! I enjoyed the film, but as I was watching it, I was under the impression it was a biopic and not an epic as you said, and when I realised it wasn’t, this somehow diminished it for me slightly. But overall, it was a great piece of cinema. Flew by despite its length.
