Festbier Friday? Indeed!
Never had Fair State Co-op before. I like this one quite a bit. A little grassy and bready, with a solid dose of bitter. 5.7% ABV.

I typically like Anderson Valley. This one is just not my style. Burnt brown sugar and a very strong dose of pumpkin spices. I’d prefer the spice be a little more subtle or nuanced.

Impromptu dinner at a nice Italian joint. Food was fantastic. I really wanted to like this “craft” Italian beer. Adjectives that came to mind: uninspired, muddled, meh. It felt like the boat ride over took its toll. Happy to have had the opportunity to try something new, tho. Cheers! #bskybeer

Another banger from Wayfinder. Deadsommar 4.9%. This one has a nice grain character with a hint of honey on the finish (no honey noted on the label, however). Love the glass recommendation too! Cheers! #bskybeer

Shattuck Wookeyfoot Red (6.5%) being enjoyed at Moscow Alehouse. Toffee is in the front but very pleasant. I get some roasted peanut also. It has a good body and some residual sweetness but it’s not cloying. Cheers! #bskybeer

On business in Idaho, so of course I try out local fare. “Little Explosions” saison from Sockeye Brewing. Website says fermented on honey. There’s a fire on the patio so all I get is smoke. But the flavor is nice and phenolic. I might be having another 😉. Cheers! #bskybeer

First time with this new arrival at my local big box. The aroma only hints at the flavors to come. Apricot pops! There’s a nice bitterness that balances the big malt backbone. It’s a touch boozy but really enjoyable. #bskybeer

Rather than bombard the #bskybeer community with posts every night, here’s 4 nights of pics in one. 2020 was my fav. Nice balance of bitterness and malt. Citrus aromas and flavors were still solid. Newer was too bitter for my liking. I’ll be letting those and the 2023/24/25s sit.
