17.05.2025 03:31 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Non collapsibility? Time invariance? I know for a fact the latter isnโt a problem with hazard ratios.

14.05.2025 22:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah, but working with rates is a bit more intuitive and comparing two rates I think is more intuitive than comparing log odds. I wonder why it isnโt used more.
13.05.2025 11:22 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Hey #stats people, what do we think about interpreting coefficients in cloglog binomial regressions? Since everyone hates odds ratios I wonder if interpreting hazard ratios is easier.

06.04.2025 08:07 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Im confused too. I think often Dirichlet and Gaussian processes are termed non-parametric, which doesnโt make sense because you model them with parametric assumptions (eg MVN for GPs).

30.03.2025 23:07 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0brms is one of the most amazing R packages ever. Nevertheless I can't get myself to use it for my own work because nothing beats coding up your own models where you have ultimate control and insight into what's going on. There remains a "black box" element unless you are deeply familiar with it.

06.03.2025 18:10 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Hey Aki, thatโs really cool. But wouldnโt the level of impact on the posterior be different from dataset to dataset? Iโd imagine that with SBC youโre simulating a bunch of datasets and looking at the overall behaviour.
