The University of Manchester becomes the world’s first university to offer universal AI provision for 65K students and staff. Lots of backlash to this in the comments across social media. What do you think are the benefits? E.g., educators using AI to challenge bias when ideating learning resources?

While text-based resources are obviously important where is the investment in alternative learning formats, which are important for all students, but particularly neurodivergent learners, students with literacy challenges or English as a second language?

‘Lonely, terrifying and scary’: 70% of students in UK university halls feel isolated, poll shows Students blame reliance on phones plus pressure of accommodation costs for lack of social life
