Don’t you just hate it when you buy a hard copy because you LOVE to have books and the cover and book are awesome, but then…

The ebook isn’t included?? You have to pay another X dollars/euros to get the ebook, which you NEED for in the bathtub?

Me too. I won’t do that to you.

Again, this is not a dig at anyone who chooses any of the avenues I avoid. I completely understand why people choose them. They are just not for me.

Oh and since Tethered to Darkness is available, I have to say this: 🔗 in bi-yo!

I want control of this stuff. Control of the quality of the products I sell people.

I’ve done that for my book by hiring experts (illustrators and editors), so I’m not about to let it be ruined by (the chance of) subpar or mediocre quality.

Mind you, I get why people do it. I might even change my mind. But for now? It’s available all the places.

That is also the reason I’m not printing my hard copies through Zon. Well that, and I have heard less than positive sounds about their printing and shipping.

I’ve chosen to make my book available anywhere that sells ebooks.

I’ve done that because I’m Dutch and most of my family and friends do not own a Kindle.

I’ve also done it because I think giving exclusivity to anyone on _my_ work feels wrong to me.
