Doesn’t look good. Took my 12 yr old to the ED. Told triage I think he’s broken his wrist. (Big zig zag and lump). Triage said let’s not get ahead of ourselves. So kid showed them and triage asked how are you not screaming? Kid says I could scream but I don’t think it would help.

It sure does! She was on a waiting list for diagnosis for a long time, and we all knew what the outcome would be. Every hospital admission she had “autistic” written on her chart by paediatricians who were surprised she hadn’t yet received the diagnosis.

My granddaughter received her diagnosis yesterday and we all cheered. The truth is, she was autistic last week, last year and when she was born. Now with a diagnosis she can be recognised by the outside world for who she is and (hopefully) get accommodations to help her navigate this allistic world
