Amanda outlined how community ownership is vital for a just energy transition, helping ensure profits from renewable assets stay and benefit the local community.

This week, CES’s Anna Philbrick and Charlie Black spoke at the Climate Action Awareness Session in Clydebank, sharing insights on the benefits of community energy.

Pumped hydro scheme to commit 5% of revenue to local communities - Community Energy Scotland The pledge of at least £20 million annual wealth fund will be the largest of its kind in the UK and forms the energy project's commitment to pay 5% of revenue

📣 Scotland’s new pumped‑hydro scheme located at Loch Ness is pledging 5% of its revenue back to local communities.

This aligns with what we called for in our response to the Scottish Government consultation on community benefits.
