It’s been an interesting week of music for me. Saw Scene Queen with Deadlands and Girli on Tuesday, worked a show with a jazz band on Wednesday. Ran sound and lights for St. Terrible last night. Currently on the way to see Dropkick Murphys and Bad Religion tonight. #livemusic #supportmusicans

The Central Idaho fire season clock is reset for a week or two due to widespread snow at middle and higher elevations. This _should_ push us back to a more normal timeline for fire season ramp-up.

Leave people alone. Let them work and earn and prosper. Tax fairly. Stop allowing the hoarding of wealth. Open borders? Sure. They exist all over the world.
Fight the real criminals.

When a cabinet member announces "We are using the military to liberate an American city from its elected leaders," where do you go from there. What is left to say. The idea of that being anything short of a near-universal "Wait, what the fuck is going on" moment proves how far we've backslid.

Nobody from Harriett Tubman, to the WWII vets, to MLK to John Lewis to the millions in between them went thru what they did so that some future pansy generation can just cross their arms, get pouty and say, "well, this sucks!"

Over an image of a person waving a trans flag in front of a blue sky, text reads: Breaking - Governor Little signs two anti-trans bills into law. The “indecent exposure” bill is effective now and the “bathroom bounty” bill will be effective July 1. Our statement:"

Over a black background, white and red text reads: About these bills. House Bill 264 - “Bathroom Bounty” Bill. Mandates community colleges, universities, correctional facilities, and domestic violence shelters, segregate bathrooms, changing rooms, and sleeping quarters by sex assigned at birth despite warnings that it will cause harm to both trans people and anyone who doesn’t fit within certain gender stereotypes. The law has zero protections against invasive genital exams and research shows these types of policies lead to increased risk of assault for trans people and women.

House Bill 270 - Broadening “Indecent Exposure” Substantially expands definitions of “criminal indecent exposure” to include female breasts and male breasts that have been “surgically or hormonally altered.” This applies to public spaces and anywhere someone may be “annoyed or offended.” Under this new law, only cisgender men can’t be criminalized for their bare chest.

Over a black background, red bold text on the top reads: our statement on governor little signing anti-trans “indecent exposure” and “bathroom bounty” bills into law. In white text: We are deeply disheartened that the Idaho legislature and Governor Little have passed these unnecessary and harmful bills into law, ignoring the will of Idahoans yet again.

Make no mistake: these new laws are part of a large-scale, coordinated, well-funded national effort attempting to legislate trans people out of existence.

While these laws target our trans community, they show that Idaho electeds champion unprecedented attacks on people’s rights. If we allow discrimination against trans people, we set a precedent that Idahoans’ civil liberties are fair game for dismantling. If you don’t think you will be targeted, history shows us this is only the beginning.

We cannot turn our attention away from this calculated effort to dismantle our civil liberties and personal freedoms. We must resist.

Trans people have always existed, and we always will.

No president, politician, or court can change that.

They are pro-forced birth.

The only way to defeat fascism is to fight for everyone fascism wants to hurt.

Even if you are not part of a community, if fascism targets it, you must defend it.

Our strength comes from our empathy. That feeling that refuses to stand back in the face of oppression. No matter the target.
