But let’s be clear—#PurpleHeartDay can’t just be symbolic. If you’re not fighting for healthcare, housing, and justice for our veterans, you’re not really honoring them.

Oh, goodie.

They gutted and neglected the FAA and the planes started crashing.

They defunded the NIH and the CDC and Measles came back from extinction.

They dismantled the weather service, NOAA, and FEMA and a flood killed 250+ people.

I don’t care what side of the aisle you’re on, the President of the United States even joking about revoking someone’s citizenship should be met with universal condemnation.

A State Department employee shared with PBS News an image from inside the department. The image includes a piece of paper taped to a mirror with the words, "Colleagues, if you remain: RESIST FASCISM. Remember the oath you vowed to uphold."
