Day 16: Blair Witch Knockoff
Woods? Check. Mysterious thing lurking in said woods? Check. Amateur documentarians? Check. Long shots of nothing but people's faces listening to stuff in the woods? Check. Even so WILLOW CREEK definitely is a fun take on the assignment. #FirstWatch #HQHalloween

Day 14: Letterboxd Bottom 500
WINNIE THE POOH: BLOOD AND HONEY. This movie deserves its bottom 500. It could have been so nmuch more fun but it went tame with the WtP commentary and themes and heavy with low-budget gore so I guess it is what it is. #HQHalloween

Day 13: Danny Trejo
Decided to keep with the #firstWatch and dig deep into a Trejo film I haven't seen, picking RISE OF THE ZOMBIES. Typical made for tv fare with very little plot, but fun to see LeVar Burton and Trejo eat up scenes together. #HQHalloween

Day 12: Hates Kids
Finally scratched VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED off my John Carpenter list. Kind of a dud in his oeuvre but still a fun romp nonetheless #firstWatch #HQHalloween

I threw on something that's long been on my to watch list, MAZES AND MONSTERS. It definitely played a role in the pearl-clutching of the early satanic panic and the "evil" influence of games like Dungeons and Dragons. Movie sucked but even in his first r5ole, Tom Hanks shines.

Something that's long been on my to watch list, MAZES AND MONSTERS. While this movie technically isn't directly about the satanic panic, it definitely was part of the wave that influenced the moral pearl-clutching of the late 70s through early 90s. #HQHalloween

He's never been more gorgeous than this campy mess of a film. Also a #FirstWatch for #HQHalloween
