I like driving to my costal town of choice, parking at a train station or restaurant, and biking to a “residents only” beach. (Train schedules being what they are, taking the train down would result in more travel time than beach time.)

Per You Snooze and Whirrled Rapport, I moved from the #19 place to live to...one that didn't even make the list. Oof. As I have been rather impressed by the cycling infrastructure in my new location, though, I'm more convinced than ever that they just pull names out of a hat.

My new city is earning points w/ cycling infrastructure. This is a US Route w/ a 2-way protected bike lane & an island for people to wait for the bus. Bus doesn’t have to stop in bike lane. Even a bench while you wait! Sure, it’d be nice if there was cover for rainy/cold days, but it’s something.
