After 25 consecutive weeks of above 2008-24 average temps at home, it finally looks like we are going to have a below average week! And September is highly likely to be wetter than average too (last wetter month = January). Hi autumn! 25 consecutive warmer weeks is 16 weeks longer than my record!

Summer 25 stats from my weather station. No surprise that it's the warmest summer I've recorded since I have had the weather station - 24 hour avg temps of 18.5C were 1C above next warmest (2018). Second driest with 104.6mm (2018 73.6mm) and 4th sunniest since 2014 (2018 highest with 7% more).

Excellent - thanks for the update. Great visuals and looking forward to the upgrade! Looking at Dogger Bank data - would I be right in assuming that not all turbines are generating yet so we might expect a gradual climb in output towards the theoretical maximum?

State of play in year to date temperatures since 2009 in the attached chart for my weather station in north Worcestershire and on #showyourstripes day, 2025 is now pulling ahead of previous years helped by the current week being more than 6C above my measured average for the same week since 2009.

Annual temperature stripes for Birmingham for the last 174 years; the single blue bar since 2000 was 2010 which is by some margin the lowest annual temperature record on my weather station which I've had since 2008. Year to date is the warmest yet in my record but there's a long way still to go.

Each of the last 13 weeks has been warmer than the equivalent average as measured in my back garden (not had as long a run as this before in my 17yrs). Year to date has been the warmest start to a year in my record (by a small margin), the 3rd driest, the 2nd sunniest & the least windy.

The results are in for spring 2025. By some margin it's the warmest I've measured (average 11.1C versus my 16 year average of 9.3C and local 1961-91 average of 7.9C). It was - just - the driest spring in my 16 year record with 71.8mm (2020 had 73mm) and the second sunniest after 2020.

Our warm and dry spring continues despite a bit of rain in the last few days - it's still level pegging with spring 2011 for the driest spring since my records began (2009) and is now, by some margin, the warmest.

Daily temperature trend for the current year versus my average for the same day of the year over the last 16 years showing just how impressive our spring has been; barely any days below average since the middle of March. January, not so much!

Tweaked my data to show 2009-2025 comparable to date spring temperatures and rainfall - only spring 2011 was warmer and drier than 2025 at this stage of April. The next week is due to be unseasonably warm (may break highest overnight minima records) before reverting nearer to normal.

Spring 2025 so far - temps are already above the average in my 2009-2025 trend (and we have all of May still to go) and rainfall is only 25% of an average spring. Will it be the driest spring in my record (which was 2020 with 73mm). It's quite likely to be amongst the warmest - if not the warmest.

Winter 2024/25 was bang on my measured average temperature (2008/9 to date) at 4.7C and about 10% wetter than average at 258mm (vs 226mm). That hides some variations; December was more than 1C warmer than average, with January being more than 1C below. Jan also the wettest month with 102mm rain.

Greetings from Worcestershire, UK! The graph shows average day and night temperatures from my back garden throughout the year (from 2009 onwards). It shows the coolest day of the year has, on average, been 20 January (tomorrow!) - so as we are half way through winter and perhaps we can begin to see the end of it is in sight!
