Painted up the US tanks for my starter box of #TeamYankee #WWIII ,that I bought years ago, in a close approximation of mid 1980's NATO cammo. Models were assembled by my youngest so a bit dodgy 😂

Was surprised to find #godot didn't have an AreaMarker2D... ended up going down a giant rabbit hole and created this github.com/rabidgremlin...

Lets you do has_point() and get_random_point() calls on the AreaMarker2D. Useful for game AI and interaction stuff.

base coat of #armypainter Malignant Green Speedpaint, then a dry brush of AP Goblin Green on the back and thighs. Under belly painted in with AP Brainmatter Beige and then used AP Military Shader as a unifying wash! #minipainting

Some painted up #onepagerules Saurian Gators... love these models, super easy to paint up, just the right amount of detail.
Also used a super easy technique which, makes it look like I'm a way better painter than I am....

Well that went better than expected... Super easy, slap the glue on, wait till it turns mostly transparent, dunk into the foliage! Now to try to make them more robust for gaming... Bring on the water, pva and matt medium concoction!

Got a little distracted setting up a Github action to automate the build of my prototype... used this excellent action github.com/marketplace/... for #godot So now have automated windows & web builds & deployment to a test website. Also slapped together a main menu ! #gamedev #unclejoeslaptop

Also gave the GUT #godot unit test framework a test... it worked very nicely... made it really easy to put together and test my fake file system #gamedev

Current state of prototype... split out each command as a "app" so easy to add new ones, each with their own help. Added a file system with content and support for hidden files... slapped on a CRT shader and a lovely amber phosphor #godot #gamedev #unclejoeslaptop

Experimenting with creating a 3D printable clip/bits system for building #wargaming terrain out of 5mm foamcore... these are the second generation of designs and are working much better... may be onto something here 🤷
