Unfortunately I don't know anything about video. I know there are some cheaper Lumix cameras that might work, like you could get a used G100 <$500 (idk about performance though, I have a G9). I've also heard the Japan used camera market is really good if you have a way to get it from there

One thing I can say is that you can fix quite a bit of noise fairly easily. I took this with a micro four thirds camera (low light performance is one of the biggest downsides I heard about the format).

How do I explain to offline people that my favorite Japanese mascot said "we can only be liberated from queer oppression if we are truly seen as human" and then started wielding fireworks like a rocket launcher on the side of a mountain without sounding like I've totally lost it?

Gave my new camera a workout this weekend at a local air show. The auto focus was a bit of a struggle, but I imagine it won't be an issue in more typical use 😅
