A wealth tax is tax on what you own, not what you earn. You collect the tax and put it on the general 'pot' and use it for health, education, social care, defense, childcare, whatever. You qualify by the value of what you own. Half a billion would be a good starting point.

Huge amounts of wealth sits with a tiny minority who live off those investments. By taking some of that via a wealth tax and redistributing that to those in most need will not just help the recipients, it will also stimulate the economy because the money will be spent, not saved.

If someone is held without charge then that is kidnapping and that person is a hostage. Shouldn't we be having move of a conversation about freeing those hostages and 'bringing them home'

As well 5,000 spagnum moss plugs 200 common cotton plants and 100 crossed leaved heath are tucked up snugly in the ground.

After 3 days of tree planting this week, the 'easy' activity today was to plant some spagnum moss plants in a bit of recovering blanket bog. Who ya gonna call? Bog Blockers!
