She’s not being completely honest, however. To say that she’s doing her job as a journalist and that it’s her job to talk to people and not just report on them as is happening to her, but in the same interview, repeat that they have not spoken to Trump in seven years.

I went to the podcast to listen, and while I’m only halfway through, I hear the fear in her voice. She’s as afraid of this blowback as she is of the retribution that Trump is hanging over their heads. It must be a very terrifying place to be.
