I heard a zoomer say that millennials love tech because they experienced it before it was monetized. Before it became a worse and worse version of itself.

Really appreciated this episode and both of your inputs. It was grounding and the pointing to data and redirecting our attention to evidence based sense making on this all is so important 🙏

It begs the question "Who are your people?!" 💀 ⚰️ 🫏

Now I get to keep my PB interviews and other good podcasts where I most like em - for not snooze material LOL. May be reducing stream counts for creators by doing so, though!

In our pre-podcast era- used clock radio AM talk stations to fall asleep to as a kid! have drifted off to PB among others. Found "Sleep Magic" & its becoming a go to. Doesn't feel distractingly "woo woo self helpy in rhythm/ cadence. Speakers voice & content hit just that right space for me. 🙏 💤

The exurbs and so on sounds promising of course, but the 100yr water supply assurances can't be made and the build to rent sfr phenomena sweeping the Phx-Metro area may provide a band aid for a much larger issue that no one really wants to talk about. Anyway- now I'm rambling 😆

Add to that the unique and specific hostility of climate, water supply issues (actual supply then regional politics around its major sources which are compromised on supplyas well), and the (un/de/low)regulatory environment re: utilities/energy, tax policy, and so on.

They've got a long road to walk to get any policy in place not only for the housing but the simulatenous systems any population -esp one that's boomed like that- needs to support such a population (education, social services, healthcare of any quality, public transit, etc.).

As a transplant to Boston from the Valley of the Sun in the last 2 years and having worked in housing there for nearly 20 years, this is both heart warming to see data on (attitudes in the majority) at the same time heart breaking.

At times, it's like, "This absurdity is unparalleled!"

Then you read their declarations, proclamations, their correspondence, books of mythology & theory, their corporate charters from back in the day and: NOPE.

They gotta obfuscate, maintain, or even angle to expand their ill begotten resources, people power & evil alliances to build & buffer the warfare zone from evolving iterations of "other," including one another. All else is collateral damage in these skittish, patriarchal greed schemes.

The worst guys from school, work & the bar are in the control tower. They always make class, a paycheck & going out insufferable. Same for their girlfriends, wives & mistresses. They have no plans to stop. They don't care about analysis or throughlining. Will we outgrow our bystander complex? 🇺🇸

As the parent of a BPS student- I was sure to remind my kid how lucky they were to have this resource available & a norm in their school. What I grew up on was BS and un/re learning geopolitical/map facts as an adult is way less cool than just knowing what's up out the gate! TY for doing 'em!
