I think we all know the answer.

The policy is set by the league. They own all of the teams. They are trying to ensure people sit where the TV cameras point. In my case I’m actually on the other side, out of view. But I cannot move back to see over the penalty boxes, I can only move my seats closer which means more obstruction.

Why does the @thepwhl.com treat season ticket holders like crap? I’m in a premium section but my view is obstructed by the Penalty Box. I want to move a few rows back to see over it. But the League won’t let me. I can only move closer for an even worse view. Why shit on your best customers PWHL?

You enjoy it when they get it wrong on you? When it costs you the game? Do you think fans enjoy bad calls? HBO’s Real Sports did an experiment during a minor league game where the umpire wore an earpiece that pinged on strikes. The players had no idea. They simply experienced a well-called game.

I’ve never understood the point of view that having calls wrong is a good thing. But that’s what you’re arguing. That having people cheated is a good thing.

Completely disagree. Umpires exist to be a neutral judge. Their job is to make the right call without being influenced by players/coaches. The objective is to get it right. If we have a technology to get it right, every time and immediately, we should use it. Why waste time on challenges?

The human element refers to the humans who actually play the game. Not the administrators/umpires/referees.

Is drawing crooked chalk lines also the human element? Is shutting off the lights during a fly ball the human element?

I’m totally in favor of getting the calls right. If humans can’t do it, and they clearly cannot - not even close, then call in the robots. I paid to see ball players play ball, not umpires exercise their egos.

Of course they’re fine. They’re loving it!
