CFP format debate: Would SEC change cost bids? Does the 11+5 make the most sense? The debate about the future format of the CFP is raging. Particularly, how it hurts or helps the biggest leagues.

What WOULD change if the SEC moved to 9-game conference schedules? I did the math. The difference isn't insignificant -- 1.5 fewer 9-win teams per year, 2 fewer bowl teams. And they should do it anyway because it'd be fun as hell. (And, yes, because of the money.)
