When are you publishing the full book?

When that Philippine Navy SEAL had his hand cut off, I was pretty sure it was on tbh. Still not sure how that did not end in gunfire

The 1988 clashes between Vietnam and the PLA were the last and most serious fight, but I think the PRC is historically more willing to act against Vietnam, knowing full well that they don’t have a mutual defense treaty with Washington

I think both sides are largely aware that shots in anger mean that it’s on and that there’s no turning back after that point. However, I do wonder about the consequences of a China Coast Guard cutter having another accident during a confrontation with the AFP during a comms interruption…

I am becoming concerned this may well be where we are headed. How we have not had such an incident thus far staggers the mind, quite frankly

And the fact that we presume that we will be given the opportunity to decide the dynamics of escalation is the height of hubris, frankly!

This kind of discourse is exactly why I am so exceedingly frustrated by the conversation re: the PRC. They have already decided to hold my home (a U.S. Territory) at risk. What makes these people think they won’t hold Alaska, Washington, Cali, and Hawaii at risk if given the opportunity? What then?

I am pretty sure DOD is going to have to disarm DHS in January of 2029.

Trying to set up a PLA watching server on Discord, please feel free to shoot me a DM if you have an academic interest in the PLA or PRC’s security structure and would like to participate!

It’s pretty clear to me that Colby et al in the GOP foreign policy sphere have worked really hard to frame the PRC as an racially otherized enemy (a β€œYellow peril”) rather than ideological one. I don’t think that approach will end in our favor.

I really cannot understate how important it is for Mil and NatSec folks to be reading Bridge Colby’s book right now, if only for the purpose of knowing what exactly to disagree with.

They’re not trying to win your heart or your mind. They’re aiming for Carl Cornfed, 17, who is currently the star linebacker on Wahlert Catholic High School’s Dubuque, Iowa 4A winning championship team.

I wouldn’t put it past DHS at this rate tbh. They seem to love LARPing as a DoD entity.

My sole criticism with FD2030 isn’t the focus on the PRC. It’s the lack of bayonet strength and Engineer/protection support within the MLRs tbh. They keep wanting the MLRs to duke it out in the FIC without much mass or survivability to do that with. It’s like boxing without any blocking

Czech intelligence reveals China plan to crash into Taiwan VP-elect Czech miltary intelligence slammed the plot as "unprecedented" and a violation of diplomatic relations.

While Washington is asleep, the PRC is slowly and more aggressively showing its willingness to take Taiwan by force. Attempting to attack the Taiwanese Vice President in Europe.

Sir, you might be able to speak more authoritatively on this because I am a post-GWOT officer, but I sincerely doubt that the U.S. Army would ever seek out someone in a high intensity daylight raid who got into a fender bender with us in Baghdad or Kabul!

27.06.2025 22:19 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Further, this was a reportedly warrant issued as a result of a fender bender between a CBP vehicle and this family’s vehicle with a police report filed at the scene and the driver released. On what planet does a fender bender without an arrest necessitate this action?

and dangerously positioned to do irreparable harm to the Rule of Law and the Constitution. I fear we have created an American KGB with a large paramilitary arm, a pseudo law enforcement mission, and an exceedingly large intelligence apparatus.

of kidnapping in warrantless detentions and arrests. They further do not have a culture of open toleration and defiance of Presidential authority demonstrated by the Border Patrol Union under the last two Democratic Administrations. Yes, these other agencies have flaws, but DHS is uniquely

Say what you will about the ATF, Marshals, or DEA, but they don’t have the same broad power to conduct warrantless searches of phones, vehicles, and persons that is held by the DHS. They have similarly not acquired a large fleet of armored vehicles, and unmanned systems. Similarly no recent history

DHS has acquired paramilitary capabilities and authorities without the same institutional standards and limitations of the DoD and DoJ. You cannot convince me that this is healthy for the Constitutional order.

My concerns over a DHS-led coup d’etat and the need to violently disarm them in 2029 remain.
