Yes through my tears too, to face the next Mineral Cup match I will also likely lose on. I’ve had one choice out of these #MinCup25 candidates won. I can’t imagine what will happen for #Wavelite or #Diotase but at least I own specimens of each. Dioptase is arguably prettier, so there’s that.

About 9 flat suns of deep cobalt blue azurite crystals on the surface of pure what kaolin matrix. Photographed in 2016. About 2 feet long and 15” tall. Very valuable specimen photographed through a display case.

What do you mean “IF”? Sure there can be no doubting #Azurite will win over that upstart green mineral! After all if you like that green color so much, just see a common collector specimen showing blue cobalt with green malachite!

Never heard of it. But many times there is a nickname or trade name given by vendors. Real #Azurite is only showing various colors of blue from very light to very deep blue-purple.

Beautiful geode from Arizona is partially open to reveal crystal interior mostly rounded hollow space covered in medium azurite druzy tiny crystals. Darker and deep blue edges of the hole are polished. 7” diameter.

Finally an easy one! Of course no question, living in Arizona #Azurite for the win! As proof take a look at one of the most popular photos I ever got- a quick snap from a P&S camera. #MinCup25
