After a quick pit-stop at Erina Bakery, my last Stampede breakfast of the year was at Glenbrook Square! Lots of great businesses, people, and dogs were out celebrating this Sunday!

Last day of Stampede starts at St. Martin’s Anglican Church for another serving of pancakes! St. Martin’s has been an amazing organization- they have so many volunteers always hosting and helping with community initiatives!

Then we hit the breakfast with the best chai! So proud to be a part of the Ismaili community that has embraced what it means to be Calgarian - nothing like a Stampede breakfast in partnership with the Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association!

The Wildwood Community Association throws a great Stampede Breakfast - thank you so much to the amazing volunteers and community organizations that sponsor these events. Calgary wouldn’t be the same without the giving spirit!

Spent the morning at the @ymcacalgary.bsky.social in Rocky Ridge! As Calgary grows, our city needs to invest in more recreation options to keep up!

I also got a chance to spend some time at the Silvera Westview Seniors community in Glamorgan! There’s a massive need for more affordable seniors living spaces in Calgary - next city council needs to address this head on!

Thursday started with the ARBI (Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured) Stampede Breakfast at their location in Spruce Cliff! I had lots of great conversations about making our city more accessible! Plus they had Therapy Dogs on site!

The Blackfoot Confederacy hosted an awesome event where I got to meet the leaders of Spirit North, an organization that runs sports and recreation programs for Indigenous youth in our communities! I also got to meet some Siksika royalty!

I then got a chance to go to the Otipemisiwak Stampede festival hosted by the Métis Nation! Métis Urban Housing Corporation is doing much needed affordable housing projects across our province, and is looking for the city to be a reliable partner in doing more projects!

After spending the day doorknocking yesterday, I’m back to the community breakfasts - this time at the Shalem Seniors Community! Had a love chat with Marge about the need for more supportive living facilities in Calgary!

Next I spent some time at the @calgarychamber.bsky.social’s Stampede event. I heard from business leaders that our rapid growth can be a big boost to our economy, if we set folks up for success. That means addressing our housing shortage and ensuring Calgary is an easy place to do business!

Day 4 started with the Premier’s Stampede Breakfast. I’m committed to working with the province to keep Calgarian’s tax dollars in Calgary and get the Green Line built from South all the way North!

The Equal Voice Stampede reception was a great chance to talk to some of the women championing important causes across our city! Thanks @ymcacalgary.bsky.social and @discoveryhouse.bsky.social for sharing some of their challenges important things you are working on in our city!

As the former Vice-President of the Coach Hill Patterson Heights of course I had to catch up with friends at the CHPH Stampede Breakfast! One of the important advocacy pieces we worked on was traffic safety, which continues to be an issue across Ward 6.

Day 3 of Stampede in Ward 6 at the Aspen Landing breakfast! Love seeing local businesses at the heart of vibrant neighbourhoods—live music, a petting zoo, and fun for all ages!

Next I got to hit up Westside’s Stampede Caravan breakfast! Recreation spaces are so much more than a location for organized sport - they are true community hubs!

Day 2 of stampede & I’m at the West Springs/Cougar Ridge CA Charity Stampede Breakfast! So great to see this Ward 6 community come together!

Had a blast at the Calgary Construction Association Stampede event. Great conversations with folks about how we can build sustainable infrastructure to support Calgary’s growing population.

Stampede is in full swing! I had a great time at the annual First Flip stampede breakfast. Did you know this stampede tradition is over 100 years old? Wishing you all a wonderful and safe stampede season. YAHOO!!

Great food, great live music, and most of all great people at the HMCS Calgary Barn Burner Stampede event—not to mention, all proceeds going towards supporting local charities.

This week I got to join the
@ucalgary.bsky.social Presidents Stampede BBQ! Calgary’s major universities are key to attracting and retaining the young talent that helps our city thrive. Grateful for the conversations with the next generation of leaders, researchers, & innovators!

Stampede may have officially started today, but Ward 6 kicked the party off early with the Discovery Ridge Stampede Roundup! It’s awesome seeing neighbours come together to celebrate that Stampede spirit!
