Yeah, I find the eye area is often where a lot of them fall down in terms of looking like the real person.

I used to work in an archive that had lots of these and of course we'd get very thoughtful people offering to donate them. We often had multiple copies of one machine. The curator would essentially say, "you'll get more joy repairing it and possibly using it than we would shoving it in a crate."

an advice regarding fandom that i rly like: instead of publicly complaining why there is too much of (disliked ship/dynamic), just create what you wanna see instead. that way, the number of works for your desired ship/dynamic increase and you might be seen as a madman (/pos) instead of madman (/neg)
