I am enjoying Hunter X Hunter a lot more now but one thing I find is - they spend too much time explaining the battle / power system while not making it much clearer.

The new NAKED GUN movie was funny as hell.

The noise cancellation on these is some of the best I've ever experienced. I like them for just sitting reading manga but to see the full range, I cycled through the different modes when I was walking through a bustling city centre. Mind-blowing.

I honestly think the seasonal approach to anime is the way forward. And if stuff like only churning out 12 episodes each year, or bringing out 22 and then taking a 2 year break between seasons, ensures that we get quality well-animated episodes that have not been rushed, then I am all in favour.

Highest. For context, although it's been about for 30 years, it's made about x2 the amount of money that Mickey Mouse & Winnie the Pooh have in 100 years. For a contemporary comparison, it's made almost triple what Harry Potter has made in basically the same time.

By this point the show was a stone cold phenomenon, everywhere. It's hard to describe what it was like growing up alongside this in the 90s if you weren't there. Pokémon on tv. Pokémon cards. Pokémon handheld games. Pokémon console games. Pokémon bedsheets. Pokémon toys. Pokémon school supplies.

Possibly a controversial opinion: Johto is my favourite Pokémon anime. There's no denying Kanto, though we love it, was rough as the show found its feet. Orange Islands get unfair flak due to removing Brock. Johto was when the show really began riding the wave of Pokémania - it was fresh & polished

Read another 10 chapters of HUNTER X HUNTER today. I had gotten to a bit of a slump and set it to the side months back, but where I am at now the chapters go like a breeze.

I didn't have a Zelda game that made me a fan as a kid - it wasn't until 2017 that Breath of the Wild made me give the series another look - but it's refreshing to know that a kid born maybe 5 years ago will have Echoes of Wisdom.
