As an autistic adult, evolving relationships often don't meet our needs.

It's vital to seek connections that respect and fulfill OUR needs, rather than conform to expectations that don't align with our true selves.

The majority of allistic ppl in my life feel so entitled to crossing my clear and directly communicated boundaries even knowing that it causes me severe distress and pain that they get more upset with me standing up for myself than they are with knowing they are traumatizing me.

Setting a boundary isn’t selfish - it’s a way of honoring your needs and showing up authentically in the world.

Often, saying no is the most loving thing you can do - for yourself and others.

Boundaries aren’t just about keeping things out - they’re about making room for what truly matters.

Boundaries aren’t walls - they’re invitations to clarity and connection.

For autistic humans, boundaries are often about survival.

They protect our energy, help us avoid burnout, and create space for us to thrive.

Our household has COVID, primary school the likely source. Once again our community is awash with this virus, the 2nd-3rd major spike this year without any v ‘low’ period. Every (re)infection does damage so pls work to minimise spread, to protect yourself & others. It’s not another common ‘cold’. 1/
