๐Ÿ“Senator Fetterman had a VFIBโ€”the leading cause of cardiac arrestโ€”he almost died if not for his implanted defibrillator, which can cost $34,000 to over $51,000. Days ago, he also just voted with GOP to gut health insurance tax credits for millions. Hope he has a change of heart.

We should listen more to national heroes who truly love our country

AOC: "It is unconscionable that what we are debating right now is legislation that will give 8 senators over $1 million a piece & we're robbing people of their food assistance & healthcare to pay for it. How can we vote to enrich ourselves by stealing from the American people?"

What Democratic voter is excited about the Democratic vote to reopen the government without guarantees on the ACA?

Let me know.

Heโ€™s probably a democrat.

Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable โ€”not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?

Absolutely correct

From street marches to court battles to the ballot box - weโ€™ve challenged the power of this exceptionally unpopular president.

The lesson from each success we've had is that we need to ramp the political pressure up, always up, not back down, now more than ever.

I feel like the people of the US are the only ones working our butts off to fight this regime. The dems haven't been doing shit. And the betrayal is infuriating

That's the problem with politicians like Shaneen - talks cheep. Voter's gave full support to democrats on Tuesday, and by Sunday, the eight in the senate were spitting in the voters' faces. She's shown she stands for nothing, and as a consequence has labeled the whole party as "cavers".

Thatโ€™s exactly what I thought!! They did this for their DONORS, not their voters.

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

Speaker Johnson has literally said he's "not promising anyone anything."

For once, I believe him.

Any Democrat who "trusts" notoriously deceitful Republicans to keep their word on an ACA vote deal is too naive/stupid to be in office.

Let's fix that next time they are up for election. #PrimaryTheIdiots

Tonightโ€™s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.

Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans.

The American people need more from their leaders.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Democratic Party hits lowest approval in over 30 years: Poll The only policy areas where Democrats outperform Republicans in the new poll from the Wall Street Journal are health care and vaccine policy.

The Democratic Party is historically unpopular with its own voters.

Caving to Trump and getting nothing in return will only bring these numbers down further.

Itโ€™s a historic failureโ€”and an opportunity to push for changes to the electoral system.

Unacceptable. There are 189,000 people in my district who will be paying 50โ€“300% more for the same, and in many cases worse, healthcare.

I wonโ€™t do that to the people I represent. Iโ€™m a NO on this โ€œdeal.โ€

Any Senate Democrats who vote to cave are feckless, weak-willed and gullible โ€” or even worse. The American people want you to hold the line and keep on fighting.

DO NOT FOLD!!!
