My 6th graders will be writing about a kindness they shared with someone at home this morning. We’re participating in the Great Kindness Challenge this week, and it’s what we all needed. Ending the week by watching The Elephant Whisperers in SS as we finish up our unit on ancient India.

My Brandy! On We Rate Dogs, she’s a 12/10. She thinks she’s more like a 15.😍 Truly, she’s the best dog ever. Affectionate, a super good girl, an ever-so-patient with the kittens and chickens.❤️

I originally wanted backyard chickens for the eggs. Yes, the eggs are delicious (and gorgeous!), but I didn’t know that these egg-laying birds would become precious pets! ❤️

The Myth of Drug Expiration Dates Hospitals and pharmacies are required to toss expired drugs, no matter how expensive or vital. Meanwhile the FDA has long known that many remain safe and potent for years longer.

One way to reduce drug spend is to have the FDA do an analysis of how long medicine retains it's potency. It can do it one drug at a time.

No one should throw away medicine they shouldn't have to. Whether pharmacy or patient.

Back in 2003 I took my 4th graders on a field trip to Hicklebee's, and we listened to Jaap tell his story. Jaap's story inspires me to be brave!

I talked with her yesterday, too, and she wants us to be careful. She's afraid we're going to get a knock on our door and be taken. Mom is not wrong. She rarely is.
