It’s hard to explain but sometimes it’s like I’m so zoomed in to a specific concept that it throws me in a loop when they start using broad terms

(With an unhealthy amount of paranoia) We’re all on the same page here right? We’re all on the same page here?

Sometimes I just wanna learn biology all over again from the ground up. Partially because of the wonders of the natural world being joyful to discover but mostly because I increasingly find myself reading texts and stopping to google words like “eukaryote” “animal” “protozoan”

Platecarpus is a mosasaur, an extinct marine reptile with four flippers. This one is covered with colorful squares like a quilt, beginning dark teal at its back and fading towards light blue and yellow on the underside. Two Hoploscaphites, ammonite cephalopods, are swimming nearby.

A calanoid copepod under the microscope. It has very long antennae with one antennae having thickened and orange segments in the center. Apart from that, the copepod appears colourless

This one's a Calanoid copepod from Spain which I sadly do not know how to ID further ( Help much appreciated! :D )
The enlarged antenna segments are interesting as well. I have no idea what they are for and why they're only on one antenna.
