The nuc is cute. But when you have a Dell 8900 siting around with fast SATA and 64GB RAM sitting around... and a 2500mbps ethernet card... well. I wanted to make use of it.

So after a discussion with ChatGPT about some of my local storage requirements, he suggested repurposing my old Windows 10 box, getting some SSD drives, a SATA controller, and installing TrueNAS. I think it wants to escape its enclosure.

It's all web UI install-driven.
