The one thing they all have in common is they drove the hype, which justified the spending, which sent stock prices up.

I feel like there's been a conflation by institutional investors of capital spending and the health of technology companies. "If you aren't spending billions on [insert thing here] how can you be competing?"

So the cycle has become hype->spending->stock price, and they'll hype *anything*.

Nah. Especially once they made you start paying to keep them from pushing ads to your splash screen, and made loading your own ebooks something that had to be sent through their systems.

As an ex-AWS employee I'd never allow an Amazon device in my house.

One of the things that I personally am going to need from anyone running for office, especially President, in the next cycle is a clearly communicated commitment to purging every one of these unqualified motherfuckers from the government on day one.

I'm just glad we've moved on from sound drivers on Linux.

In my experience, one of the core tenets of the right-wing social media influencer ecosystem is identifying the people who can be blamed for all your problems, especially if they happen to be women and/or people of color.
