I once saw Mani eating a hotdog outside of The Guvernment in Toronto during the XTRMNTR tour. Mustard & onions. Good memory.

🚨 BREAKING: All major groups of wildlife in Canada are in decline

#LPRC2025: Across 910 species of birds, fish, mammals, reptiles & amphibians, wildlife populations in Canada have declined by 10%, on average, since 1970.

BUT not all is lost. Together, we can help nature heal & wildlife recover.

Me too, Allyn. Strangely, the pollinator activity aligned with the arrival of Japanese beetles this year.

It was long overdue. I felt like a hypocrite having it in my yard. Felt good to cut it down.

I participated in this two years ago and I’m doing it again. An incredible networking event for fellow native plant gardeners and a great way to introduce traditional gardeners to the world of native plants. Win-win!

If I wasn’t weeding them out everyday, I’d be in serious trouble right now — with nut sedge and crown vetch especially… the worst of the worst.

I ordered 3 yards of premium triple mix earlier in the spring from The Dirt Depot and I’m super disappointed to discover it’s rife with lamb’s quarters, crown vetch & nut sedge. Some terrible invasives. Just a heads-up to anyone thinking about ordering some. #hamont #ontarionativeplants #DundasOnt

In a perfect world, every non-native forsythia would be replaced with spicebush 😊. I rarely see spicebush for sale at nurseries (unless they specialize in native plants) but I do know that Harper’s in Ancaster/Dundas carries mature spicebush shrubs. You should get one.
