Yeah, 100%. I’ve seen people theorize that part might have shrank a bit because of temperature changes. Similiar to how they often transport the hand accessories with pegs in them to keep the holes from shrinking. I don’t know a lot about that, but it would certainly explain a lot.

I think the biggest failing in the face is the fit on the upper part of the head. I took off the top, heated it with a hairdryer, and really pushed it back down. I think it makes a dramatic difference.

The funny thing is that I remember one of the first things they did after announcing those figures was confirm on Facebook he had zero involvement. Pretty telling that the guy’s absence has become a selling point.

I remember reading a correspondence with him where he said one of his advantages was not having a distinct style. It’s telling that he was trained in clear, commercial storytelling but you can still recognize his art from across a room. Dude had a such a specific voice it couldn’t help but come out.
