Obviously I can’t confirm this anonymous Reddit story, but my brother works in finance. He’s echoed similar concerns.

This is done ‘legally’ through loopholes allowed to skirt regulations against double dipping like that.
I hate to say it but this makes me wonder if Adobe is looking into buying out Toon Boom 2-3 years down the line.

I listened to a Reddit-confessions podcast recently. This anonymous finance-guy was talking about how software packages are chosen. And it’s never for the sake of efficiency. It’s almost always because someone in th c-suite was going to profit from that decision.

Here’s my spicy take-

We shouldn’t need to learn a new software every couple of years just because another 3 corporations decided to consolidate and fuck their user-base over.

Hey, if artists are kinda complaining about a program being too expensive, a reminder:

1) yeah we know we can pirate it, however if we’re using it for pro work, we can’t use illegal copies

2) we know what the alternatives are. If we’ve done this for as long as a lot of us have, we’re aware

They watched the stock price plummet and were like

Spicy anime take-
I’m glad Yuri on Ice only got one season. It was exactly the story it intended to be. It had a great ending. Any more wouldve muddied the story.
