Amateur naturalist, π΄π½fan. Phone photos, mostly of making my garden a wildlife sanctuary - nature shouldnβt just be visited in reserves

15.02.2026 18:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well, I admire your tenacity.
Over the years, under this cityβs amber dome, winter trapping has been mostly pointless in my garden, so I no longer bother!

03.12.2025 11:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Maybe one day - without being provocative - #teammoth should have a chat about chemical lures and garden etc species lists.
Itβs not straightforward: light traps, extensive suitable planting and wine ropes etc are all lures.
But I wonder about the distinction between attraction and compulsion π€·πΌ

Against the increasingly ridiculous prices of essentially plastic-tub Robinson traps, sounds brilliant!
If youβre thinking of a niche business model alternative appealing to hardcore motherati, I support you!

The exhibition all finished. Thereβs a bit of sadness when selling paintings, as well as the pleasure, having lived with these moffs for a while. They looked good in their vintage frames though. All in all a successful exhibition and lots of people learned more about moths!

Maybe comforting to think that in 200 yearsβ time researchers may be tracking historical trends by reading your faded writing; while others puzzle over long-dead βUSBsβ and wonder how people could store data in those white billowy things overhead
