This is gonna be such a nice cooldown (?) from the 3.5-hour Inland Empire screening that awaits me tonight.

28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE is *absolutely* the cinematic equivalent of story DLC and I couldn't be happier about it. Rarely does a sequel opt to magnify peripheral aspects of its predecessor rather than simply pursue the same narrative further. Grisly and metal as hell.

Particularly love how this piece focuses deeply on the fractured beauty of Mirror's Edge. Yeah, the story is blatantly butchered. The gunplay is shoddy for an FPS-first studio. The whole thing is five hours long. But, all these weird cracks inadvertanely elevate all the glistening idiosyncraises.
