Status is unknown, but conservative, Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck at a university event in Utah. And it doesn't look good.

Before anybody else says what they're thinking, I think we should take a moment to let the victim give his opinion on this contested American crisis:

Hey, it's not the first time a tyrannical government has tried to steal every last penny from the sick & poor in order to let the rich hoard it.

But it may be the first time they shamelessly did it the day before we were supposed to celebrate our independence from that kind of tyranny.

For decades, Republicans in Washington have told us that tax cuts would trickle down to workers.

Instead, wealth and power have accumulated in the hands of the richest 1% at the expense of the rest of us.

Trickle-down economics was never supposed to work.

It was a hoax.
