I think it would certainly need to be good (nose in air) because our media standards are higher, but I remember reading and liking Matt Bruenig at ThinkProgress, which seems like the best template for what overtly-Dem media would look like.

Stealing someone else's point, clear and succinct policies are exactly how one conveys that vision. "Public grocery stores" are a great example.

Anti-immigrant politics were already bad when mass deportation was merely theoretical, but now that ICE is yanking people off the streets it's a line in the sand. Come 2026 every Dem candidate should (and will, imo) have to enthusiastically defend immigrants to get through a primary.

I kinda want to write a paper arguing that is the natural endpoint of pragmatic theories of language—all that it means to be true is for the belief to work, except the only evidence of it working is convincing another person that it work…works to convince yet more people.

Now possibly if *I* had such a PhD, I would not have awkwardly repeated the verb "observe," and really, there's no price that can be placed on linguistic grace.

I will observe that it does not take PhD levels of philosophical logic to observe that the piece calls the premise false while offering merely anecdotal evidence that it's true.

Never change, University of Chicago humanities faculty: who would you even be without the irrational confidence that humanities PhDs will all work out well in the end for the recipients?
