Oddly, the only one that I have for that is the Wikipedia page for the Grey Nuns (of Montreal).

. . . I'm going to leave unpacking what this says about me for a later time.

Now, when you say "healthy," you mean that in a relative sense, right? lol

Column | ChatGPT just came out with its own web browser. Use it with caution. OpenAIโ€™s Atlas promises AI-powered convenience. The price? Letting ChatGPT track and store โ€œmemoriesโ€ of what you do online.

ChatGPTโ€™s new Atlas browser doesnโ€™t just see what you read โ€” it remembers it.

@eff.orgโ€™s Lena Cohen showed me it even logged โ€œmemoriesโ€ of her looking for *abortion care* and her doctorโ€™s name. Out-surveils even Chrome.

Brainrot this, chronically online that...
Meanwhile some teenage girl in the 1930s was sending these to her faourite horror magazine:

Devil's Croft is enticing. Raggh---woof---grr---I like so very much.

If you can get me any more story-length poems like Lovecraft's Psychopompos---by all means 'gimme.'

Ah---ahaha---haw haww---chuckle!

This is old and it's not even the first time I've seen it but I need to stress to everyone that I am the reincarnation of this teenage girl

Bob Ross paintings to be auctioned to support public TV stations after federal funding cuts All profits will help public TV stations with licensing fees for popular programs that include "The Best of Joy of Painting" and "America's Test Kitchen."

Thirty paintings created by the bushy-haired, soft-spoken Bob Ross will soon be up for auction to defray the costs of programming for small and rural public television stations suffering under cuts in federal funding. https://to.pbs.org/4nEQMrw

Uriah Heep is a good pick. Largely rock but they do some big dives into other genres, a good band for keeping some dynamics in the background music.

Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist):

the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much.

you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.

Found this on the AO3 subreddit, and I'm about to let it change my whole life (or at least work really hard to internalize it wrt my writing).

There is nothing wrong with having an emotional support mini while playing a game that doesn't need them.

. . . Though apparently, I'm told, having them linger menacingly over my shoulder as the GM in a horror game that doesn't use them still ups the stress. (Mission accomplished?)

Samsung brings ads to US fridges Samsungโ€™s โ€˜screens everywhereโ€™ initiative is morphing into ads everywhere.

Samsung has rolled out a software update to its smart fridges that will display ads, despite saying they had "no plans" to do so. We're headed for a future where you will have to pay extra for appliances without ads.

Just for the record, I did think about exaggerating something on the Christmas Tree Worm, but they're somehow already more extra than the Potoo, sooo... yeah.

Base: Christmas Tree Worm
Mixed with: Potoo
Exaggerate: I want to say the Potoo's mouth, but it already looks exaggerated (everything about them does). But yeah, let's say mouth or eyes?

The biggest takeaway from that for me was that the most important thing to write down is whatever is important to you. The big events will be remembered, don't worry about those. So long as you're writing your truth, that's all that matters, because you matter.

(Sorry that took three replies.)

For a college history project I was comparing journal entries of the UK soldiers who fought in the Crimean War. They had so little overlap of big events, and only one of them even mentioned the charge of the light brigade (and it was barely in passing).

11.09.2025 06:47 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

This is why journals are so important.
The entries don't have to be every day, and the don't have to recap what's happening in the world.
Just write down that random thought, how the weather was, or if you changed your tea away from earl grey. All of that matters just as much as the bigger events.
