It's been positive to Dibling and fernades emerge as quality assets.

With Downes, Sugawara, THB and bazunu/Ramesdale they squad is a few decent signings away from a good core.

But there are about 10-15 players that would need to be moved on in the summer and that won't happen

Martin replacements:

Unless it's potter, I'll be disappointed.

I'm sure the board will take forever and then appoint a Moyes/Dyche type and the club will still go down

Martin will go on to have success at his next club

Premier league championship gap:

The gap between the top 2 leagues has never been bigger.

The 3 promoted teams went down last season, and the same will likely happen again.

If Leicester don't stay up after ignoring FFP in the prem and championship then what hope do any other club have?

Injuries:

It's not been the worst injury season but when your playing your 4th choice keeper what are you ment to do?

Stephen's:

The captain got himself suspended for 5 games and then again for another 4 games. That's shocking. Misses 9 out of 19 games

VAR:

There's not a conspiracy against Southampton football club. But there were at least 4 90-10 VAR decisions that went against us.

(Against Leicester, Liverpool, wolves and Brighton)

This cost us 5 points and we would of been out of the relegation zone at the time

The squad recruitment was very poor last window:

So many players were brought in, alot championship level at best, eg. Cornet, Taylor, BBD ect

None of them will play in the prem again.

The striker options were shocking. And the centre backs not up to the level

He definitely came up with a lot of tactical ideas. He seemed to have found a system that was very close to working.

But shame he changed it tonight and lost 3 goals in 14 minutes.

Point is. His tactics weren't the issue. The players weren't up to the level

When people say this what they normally mean is, stop playing it out from goal kicks and kick it long. Reality is, who me a prem team who doesn't play out from the back.
