Inside the Plaid Cymru conference... What we learnt about the party most likely to form the next Welsh Government

Last week I was at the Plaid Cymru conference.

Based on the current polls, they are the party most likely to lead the Welsh Government after May's election.

It’s effective and it’s needed. Zack gives me hope. In a world of greed and hate - hope (and love) is the antitdoe. It works. The polls show it.

I’m trying to not be negative but 9 games in - we look so so so average.

He as obviously a good guy. I live in Swansea and know Swans players who loved him. But also the players totally bought into it all - style included.

I want it to work. I think we had a good transfer window. Still is young and hasn’t managed in England or champ before. However… compare it to where we were last time in champ - we had a clear identity/ style and one that when it worked would blow teams away. This won’t.

I’m not a fan of AM (well under RM anyway) but he has played brilliantly today and kept us in it.

Well I thought Derby were the better team. As were Sheff United. Something isn’t right.

Fair enough. Derby could have easily scored more - is what you are seeing good enough?

Fair enough - but should it be even against a team fourth bottom who won once all season? Our squad / team is far superior and imo should be controlling games at this level and making chances for the opposition hard to come by.

It’s the same week after week. I don’t think 3 CBs helps us in that regard. We def miss Flynn too - look how he performed v Liverpool. It’s also a style issue I suspect - Still isn’t keen on us keeping possession for the sake of it.

With the level of quality we have in the squad, we should be controlling games much more than we do. It happens every week. Derby have been the better team. What’s going wrong? #SaintsFC

I am not shy to say when I disagree with Sadiq Khan. But I also think it's important to say out loud when other politicians get it right.

Agree. Jelert was stand out for me. Looks way more positive than Roselov. I’d start Wood over THB too. AA has to start so does Cam. Azaz shouldnt be near the team.

I know there are good reasons why wealth taxes on assets that can be moved between countries are a bad idea.

But everytime I see a headline like this I'm just "squeeze the selfish bastards till they cry".

With this squad, in the championship, it is criminal to be playing this poorly. We should be cleaning up most weeks. This is on the manager I’m afraid. #saintsfc

Totally agree.

His “style” appears to be based on being hard to beat, tough, press etc. Which might have worked for the two clubs he managed before but in this league with this squad we need to do a lot more - break teams down, dominate, clear patterns of play etc.

It’s so obviously so far off…
