Today, thousands of people came out to events all across NYC—picking up and handing out materials to defend their neighborhoods from ICE. There were whistles kits & know your rights cards. Important to understand this. There's a reasonable chance that your Dem Senator who voted against it and is acting mad now was in on the play. It's the same reason why they scheduled the surrender for AFTER the election this week. They didn't want people pissed at Dems right before an election.

Any Dem Senator decrying this deal - you better be making a motion to remove @schumer.senate.gov at the next available opportunity. Otherwise, it’s all just performative bullshit.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.

Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.

Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him

John Fetterman, Angus King, Maggie Hassan, Dick Durbin, Jon Ossoff, Jeanne Shaheen, Kirsten Gillibrand, Catherine Cortez Masto, Mark Warner, Cory Booker, and of course Chuck Schumer. Maybe others not top of mind. Not all responsible will publicly vote for the cave - that's not how this works.

At the top of that list should be SCHUMER. He is the leader. If this happened without his OK, he is weak. If it happened with his OK, he is a liar.

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.
