The Guardian's new Secure Messaging service for whistleblowers wanting to contact journalists was developed in collaboration with security reseachers at Cambridge University.
From today, @theguardian.com's new Secure Messaging system will generate dummy messages as 'air cover' for real messages sent by whistleblowers. This is to stop adversaries seeing that they're contacting journalists. The new system builds on security research carried out here: shorturl.at/Et0Rf

The fact that most photographers in my sphere are only on Instagram keeps me from deleting my account. On the other hand, I don’t feel the flow of information is any good. I miss updates from the accounts I care about because there is so much noise and rubbish content to wade through.

NOAA's satellite, ship, land station, airplane data are vital to everyday weather forecasting; but they also record the story of global warming, and no govt or party should control them.

I chose six points during the walk which I photographed from the same position every time. The resulting grid contains 15 repetitions of the walk, one per line. Within each line, the photos are shown in chronological order, and each line was taken after the previous one.
I made the "Ritual Observations" project in the second half of 2024 for the Focale Association Members' Workshop. On Saturday there was the opening of the group expo at the Chateau de Nyon. If you are in the area, you can still visit the expo until Sunday, Jan 19th.

I’ve used Fastmail for a long time without issues, but a few years ago I moved to Apple iCloud Mail with my own domain name, as I was already paying for iCloud+. Both have been very reliable. I think E2EE works better for storage than for mail, where you need to interact with unencrypted peers.
