I LOVE this episode and particularly this bit. I may or may not reference it with obnoxious frequency.

Personally i think such views of the world and specifically science is as inflexible as the cis white men who wrote it.

One need only look to the medical community to see it, and it's the same all through the history of science.

Who is selling them the lie that there is transportation off of earth? Or are they genuinely that stupid that they haven't thought that far ahead?

My quick assessment is abuse is more targeted or personal, where as oppression is wide spread. Like attacking a white person because they step out of line vs attacking a minority for just standing there at all.

While I didn't see this in theaters, I did see the Star Wars rerelease in theaters. The same day I saw the first movie for the first time the Mark Hamill episode of the Muppet Show re-aired and I lost my little mind. "MOM! LUKE SKYWALKER IS ON THE MUPPET SHOW!!!"
Still one of my favorite episodes.

That was a heck of a movie. Loved the ending. LOVED Elinore. Also, I think Adventure Time was a love letter to this movie.
