We're delighted to be part of this new Registered Reports funding partnership - or RRFP - with @improvingpsych.org!
RRFPs boost the efficiency of RRs by integrating grant review and Stage 1 review. Authors submit before they have funding & then receive Stage 1 acceptance + funding at the same time
The University of Sydney is recruiting senior and mid-career academics "within the top 5β10% of academics in their field, with a strong track record and availability to relocate to Australia within 6-months".
If you're a psychologist/neuroscientist and are interested, get in touch with me soon.
This is extremely similar to my own feelings. I think itβs good/fine that Metascience exists, but I realized that Iβm not the constituency for it. Iβm way too unpolished for that conference.

Actually I put words in Tomβs mouth. He just said sometimes transparency isnβt possible. Not sure if he thinks this applies to all (data, code, materials) forms of transparency.
(Personally, I find it hard to think of a principled reason why code canβt be shared.)

One takeaway: sometimes we canβt share data/code/materials, but we should state why theyβre not shared.

I'll be giving an unconference session at #MetaScience today at 14:00 on Papercheck. It will be a workshop on using and creating modules to detect (and correct) scientific practice and reporting.
