Its incredible. There's a scene where they are discussing the "afterlife" that really put into perspective my own ideas and hopes for such a thing.
Excellent dialogue. Amazing effects. Realistic characters. 10/10 story/ending imo.

I am just trying to make sure to keep scope reasonably in check for my set timeline. I have an idea about what I want to do, but I always appreciate insight.
Another goal I set was too make this one single tile in the game look as good as possible before expanding. I'd hate to have to redo everything multiple times. So that's why this tile is always show. Once I get water added I will begin expanding out. Water will be the final bit of depth I need.

Some new enemies to add into the game. Want to try my best to not do too many reskins of the same enemy and have them all serve a purpose. Summoner, Hexxer, Burrower, and a classic simple side to side enemy/obstacle.

In Witches and Butchers, there are some more experimental enemy types such as these ghosts who have the ability of altering the scroll speed of the dungeon, and other effects that will be added in the future.

I still have a bit of work to do, but hopefully I can show some work later today. The attempted style is a sort of darker old-school Zelda, so I hope that gets across. Sneak Peak below.

This time I went back to the art style as a whole. While I am happy w/ the palette, the sprite designs themselves missed the mark just a smidge. (1/2)

Really productive day. Finished reworking everything to states/components. Added ability, as well as interactions such has death and animations. Excited to have figured out a simple way for idle enemies to detect the player when attacked from distance.

Implemented simple state machines for player and the Blood Drop so I could pull off cooldowns and hurt animations. Feels a lot smoother.

The speed is definitely just some random number I chose and will be increased for sure.

Give my eyes a break both ways but I keep engaged in the material I'm working on. I also think its fine to completely abandon something if it doesn't work out how you wanted. Time learning is never wasted.
