This game will feature a sans-fish fishing minigame. Throw the hook, then steer it past obstacles by moving left and right (just like in real life! /s). Hook a truffle & reel it in!

Rumor has it they skipped 9 because lots of older programs would check if the OS name was "Windows 9*" (ie, 95, 98) for various compatibility things.

And an OS just called "Windows 9" would also inadvertently pass those checks and cause unwanted behavior. 🤷

Work on the fishing minigame for #MayGame has begun.

Very much still in the experimentation stage. But I think a side-scroller is the direction to go. Gameplay will be focused more on navigating the depths rather than a tug-of-war/timing game.
