Hi hi, I’m alive 😅 I’ve been grinding on the demo. I’m targeting this summer/fall.
Here’s a quick look at something I added recently: a hotbar for quick swaps between party members, moves, and items.
I’ll be sharing more soon :)

It's nice because all these channel timers divide evenly by the GB CPU timer speed. 64 Hz, 256 Hz, ... they're all factors of 2.

I do have to batch these calls though because Godot lags like heck if it tries to call these functions 4 million times per second. 😅

Day 11 of Making a Game Boy music tool for my game's audio.

Reworked all timers to scale off a 2^22 Hz timer (the GB CPU speed) instead of 44.1k Hz output.

This fixes some issues with resampling and also eliminates all these ugly floating-point timers. 😝

Sisko is great. He cares deeply for his crew.

And very human. You can really feel his inner conflict when having to make important decisions that affect so many lives.

He's also quite terrifying when angry. But always for good reason.

Actually, wait, I forgot.

We put Four Swords Adventures into the Wii.
Connected one GBA via for one controller.
Then connected a GameCube via its GBA slot as the second controller. And stacked a mini-DVD player on it to use for its screen (since the Wii had the TV).

God what a beautiful mess. 🤣

My failure to get a 4-person Crystal Chronicles game going is one of my biggest gaming regrets.

We did get a 2-person Four Swords Adventures game working tho. And 2-person Four Swords using the GBA slot. Which, hilariously, worked. 😁

Agreed. I really do think character-driven stories make for the best stories, which is something this show excelled at.

The early seasons too, you can see how lots of characters are very immature/flawed in various ways. And how they slowly overcome those flaws.

Ahahaha I love the 'cube so much too.

It also plays every Game Boy/Advance game ever which is another nice plus.
