Doing some work on a segment of the first stage of Bat Galaxy. Needs some polish, but it's getting there.

Bat Galaxy is a Star Fox-like on-rails game that also has free roaming areas with open exploration (more videos in my profile). It has a punch mechanic that can whack enemies and send them flying away.

Currently I have tapping a key turn the player fully towards that direction, but I can definitely add a setting to adjust that and make it smoother.

Controls will be a *bit* tighter than similar games since there'll be a need for more precise movements (due to waves of shots from enemies). This video was recorded with me controlling the game with a keyboard, so that makes it look much stiffer/jumpier. It'll be smoother with an analog stick

It's recorded from within the Unity Editor so it's like 10% as smooth as the final game will be lol

I designed this dude a long time ago but never got around to actually testing him out in-game. Finally sat down for some gamedev this weekend and tested him out.

Back into gamedev after a bit of a hiatus. Working on some patterns that'll require the player to dodge and weave through later in the game.
