A couple likes, but no answers. I tried searching for it but can't find a thing. It definitely seemed directed at my politics, by people I would have probably otherwise considered allies. Hell, maybe they were just calling me ugly. It was such a shitty experience, I don't come back here much.

Btw, what is a "Sealion" in current political slang? Apparently I am one of those.

Try Blue Sky they said. A lot more left-friendly they said. For about two hours today, I got railed on, called names, called a racist, was told they don't need me, on and on, on a lefty thread where I think I made a reasonable, constructive point in a comment. Still not sure how I stepped in shit.

My feelings weren't hurt until people started trying to hurt them. And then, not so much.

I've made no demands. You guys just met an old white guy who agrees with you, and you drove him away. We may be uncommon, but we exist. I'm done here, I've taken more unmerited crap in the last hour on this thread than i ever took from maga idiots after posting the meanest fuck trump meme on fb.

Lots of people who don't know me at all are pretty quick to pass some pretty harsh judgements. If making me sorry I ever engaged is your goal, you've succeeded.

Talk about 'performative'. Seems to me you're spending time alienating your allies and not taking action. Every time i take a step left, I meet too many self-righteous, 'lefter than thou' folks who brook no dissent. I don't think it is constructive.

What is the evidence that people only go to protests and events? My point is that these are the very people who are doing the 'action' parts, too. Do you think most of these people go out of their way to attend something like this, and then DON'T take other actions? Still want a list of better.

So much BS in these comments. The people showing up for these events and protests are EXACTLY the people 'dealing' with MAGA-loving friends and family. It's possible to do performance AND action, though I note you don't say what they 'should' be doing instead of this.
